Earthquake, Tsunami, and Nuclear "meltdown"

March 21 is fast approaching

*phew* ... These past couple weeks have been really busy. Last week I got both a X-ray and MRI of my wrist cause there was possible breakage, luckily it was just a sprain. Then this week I had to get my wisdom teeth removed!!! Hopefully no more random health issues will pop up before I leave in a few days. I'm leaving to LA on the 19th and another plane leaves to Japan on the 22nd :) Plus, I have my Visa and Certificate of Eligibility now which means there should be little to no problem getting into Japan. I just hope there isn't another huge earthquake while I'm there cause i don't want the US embassy to ship me back to the US prematurely.  Knowing that Japan is earthquake prone I should probably learn about what to do when there's an earthquake before I leave. ... hopefully nobody that's on any of the other tsunami warning islands, like hawaii and the phillipines, will get hit as hard as japan did and hopefully japan didn't suffer to badly.

The Yellow Luggage Tags!!!

I'm sooo excited! Today I got 2 AFS yellow luggage tags in the mail, I'd read about them on other blogs and have been anxiously awaiting them. It kind of marks the day when you realize, "I'm really going to Japan!". I still need to deal with VISA stuff though. *ugh* Oh yeah... for the next few weeks I'm super cramming any Japanese possible into my head so that I won't be completely clueless when I get to Japan. It's going pretty well actually and it gives me an excuse to watch these awesome JDramas I found online. :)  Most of the ones I've watched are pretty goofy but the one I just watched was more serious and really depressing. :(  Going back to my first train of thought, I'll be getting train tickets soon so that I can get to LA to leave to Japan!!! Most people are flying to LA but I think trains are really awesome. Plus, on the way there I can see awesome places and meet cool people (not as sketchy as it sounds).

aah, I've neglected the blog 4 too long (but not thaaat long)!!! I sent a letter to my host family, I wrote it mostly in Japanese. I hope that they can understand it because it probably made no sense(I had to have assistance from google). O_O Pretty soon I'll be taking a Japanese language class or a have a tutor so that I at least have some of the basics down before leaving. I've been watching tons and tons of Japanese TV shows and movies in order to try and pick up the language a little, or at least so I can listen better. To myself I say GANBATTE!!! because I really need it. here's a pick I found of Toyohashi. It's the area where there are big buildings (only for like a couple blocks).
